I had the privilege of growing up in the Middle East, Cambodia and Australia and became used to adapting to changing circumstances.

But I struggled with my mental health from a young age. By 15, I’d recovered from the worst part of a severe eating disorder, began yoga to cope, and channelled the rest of my anxiety into study.

I unconsciously strove for the things that society defines as success. By age 23, I had the things that I’d put on a pedestal: the international job, the marriage, freedom to travel.

But I was burnt out. I was anxious, depressed and a high-achieving perfectionist whose self-worth was attached to intellectual achievement.

So yeah, I was your favourite party guest.

When my marriage turned to divorce in 2017, I was exhausted to the bone, my health was a mess, my confidence was nowhere to be found, and I was profoundly lost on a personal, spiritual, vocational and even a geographic level.

So I reassessed every part of my life.

I realised how disconnected I had really become from my own wisdom, purpose and joy. I saw how my limiting beliefs, social conditioning and unaddressed trauma were taking me in all kinds of unhappy directions.

And this changed my life completely.

I spent the subsequent years exploring, trying and failing, contemplating and learning.

I went from foreign policy analyst to full-time yoga teacher and back to strategic advisory and change management. I moved from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, to a remote Greek island, to the bustle of India and back to Australia.

I increased my exposure to all kinds of personal growth and healing modalities. I deepened my understanding of my body, mind and spirit to comprehend my past and redefine my future.

And I realised I was not alone.

Over my career, I observed so many passionate, talented women wanting to make a meaningful difference but lacking adequate support and community.

I believe the world needs more women who are empowered to make positive change- for themselves, and for the whole.

And I believe that complex social, economic, cultural and environmental problems require collaborative solutions.

So I committed to combining my personal and professional experience to help women build both the internal and external resources needed to make a meaningful difference while creating personal fulfilment.

So Co.here was born.

It started with inviting a group of purpose-led women who had never met each other to my house for dinner…

Co.here has now turned into a thriving online community of women from around the world who support each other personally and in creating positive change for collective benefit.
